The Country Challenge 2010

Lapeng Hotel, Walkerville, Midvaal and 1st August 2010 will the thousands Mountain Bike enthusiast experience the total new developed routes developed by the highly professional Spectrum Sport Team under the leadership of the veteran, Louis Harmse. A mixture of jeep track and awesome single track route and a minimum district roads are marked off to suit all riders and guarantee a pleasant ride for all level riders. The program make provision for a 30km ride and the more experience riders will enjoy the more challenged 60km route. Harmse and his team are busy for the past two months to plan and develop new routes, different from the previous routes started earlier this year at the Lapeng Hotel. All participants will receive a medal at the finish and prize money for the winner. Pre-entries on www.mtncycling.co.za and late entries are allowed on the day of the race at 7h00. The race is a unique and highly professional cycle race in Gauteng. The race has Super Series status and is registered as a National Classic event. During 2008, our race was voted the 3rd best organized race in the country according to the “Bicycling Magazine”. Last year we also had the race covered by Super Sport and the race was broadcast in full.
